ESAG Charity Foundation pledges to clothe 25000 needy children

​ESAG Charity Foundation has contributed AED 1 million to the recently launched ‘Dress 1 million’ charity initiative. Mrs. Raja Al Gurg, ESAG Managing Director, has presented the donation to Mohammad Abdullah Al Zaroni, Head of Operations, UAE Red Crescent Society, which will help clothe 25,000 deserving kids.

Mrs. Raja Al Gurg Chairperson of ESAG Charity Foundation has confirmed that participation in this campaign is in line with the strategy of the organization to support charitable work and various humanitarian activities. She was also has appreciative of the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

As Ramadan is the month of giving and caring, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, introduced a campaign to dress one million children from around the world in the holy month. The campaign aims to promote concepts of giving and caring during the holy month and also provide an opportunity for Emiratis and other residents living in the UAE to be part of a global charity initiative. More than 200,000 children around the world have already benefited from this charity campaign. Children in Bosnia were the first to receive new clothes from the money raised by donors.

In collaboration with the UAE Red Crescent Society, the clothing campaign will run until the UAE Humanitarian Work Day on 19th Ramadan (July 28) which coincides with the ninth death anniversary of the founding President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
