Hajj and Umrah Assistance

IACAD honours Charity Foundation and staff

Al Gurg Charity Foundation was honoured by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable

Activities Department (IACAD) as one of the best charities in Dubai. Mohamed

Farouk, Al Gurg Charity Foundation Manager, received the certificate at the

Intercontinental hotel, Dubai Festival City. Also honoured from the Foundation

were Nour Tarek and Hend Ahmed who received certificates for their work.

Al Gurg Charity Foundation continually sponsors annual Hajj and Umrah

programmes. For the second year in row, Al Gurg Charity Foundation has

provided an annual donation to the Women Union Association in Sharjah

to organize the Umrah trip for 20 individuals with special needs and their

parents. The Foundation was also honoured as one of the main supporters

of the association. Samia Mohamed - Government Relations Manager of the

Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group LLC received the honour at a function which was

also attended by Hend Ahmed – Public Relations in charge at Al Gurg Charity

Foundation.

Revival of Ramadan nights with Quran

For the first time, Al Gurg Charity Foundation participated in ‘The revival of

Ramadan nights with Quran.’ The best sounding Imams and the readers from

IACAD have been hosted by the Foundation as they offer Taraweeh prayers at

the Easa Saleh Al Gurg mosque in Karama.

His Highness the Ruler of Dubai, Umrah sponsorship

As part of his continued support and encouragement for those working in

charitable associations, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al

Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has

sponsored the annual Umrah pilgrimage. IACAD organizes this pilgrimage

annually. In 2013, the Foundation has chosen Nausher Ikram (Project Manager

at ESAG Real Estate) to perform Umrah for his contribution in the construction

of the Foundation’s various mosques and their ongoing maintenance.
