One of the strategic objectives of Al Gurg Charity Foundation is supporting education and providing assistance to outstanding students who are unable to afford their
education expenses. Al Gurg Charity Foundation has concluded a number of agreements and memorandums with universities in the UAE including:
AED 10 Million for professorship and scholarship to American University of Sharjah
His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah and President of American University of Sharjah (AUS) attended
the signing ceremony of an agreement between HE Easa Saleh Al Gurg, KCVO, CBE; and the university for the establishment of the Sir Easa Saleh Al Gurg Professorship
in International Studies and the Sir Easa Saleh Al Gurg Young Leaders Scholarship Fund at AUS. This scholarship has made possible as a result of a generous gift of
AED 10 million by His Excellency. Under the aegis of the ESAG Charity Foundation, AED 5 million will be earmarked for the students’ scholarship while the rest of the
amount is for the professorship expenses. The amount will be deposited in the bank and the earnings will cover the scholarship.
20 scholarships to students of Sharia and Islamic studies, Sharjah University
Al Gurg Charity Foundation has coordinated with the University of Sharjah to provide 20 scholarships to students from different nationalities. Since the scholarships
have been activated, the Foundation is continually following up with the students on their welfare and keeping track of any additional requirements for students to
satisfactorily complete their studies.
Agreement with Ajman University of Science and Technology and the Council of Education Care and Academic
Affairs in Fujairah
Al Gurg Charity Foundation has signed an agreement with the Council of Education and Academic Affairs to support outstanding scholars who cannot afford to continue
their studies. The Foundation has also provided scholarships for some students in Ajman University of Science and Technology to help low-income families cover the
expense of college education.
Al Gurg Charity Foundation support to low-income families
In an effort to help low-income families, Al Gurg Charity Foundation has presented scholarships to students in different schools such as the National Charity School,
Abu Obaida Bin Al Jarah School, Ajman Private School, Al Eman Private School, Al Ula Private School, Modern Indian School etc.
