Bchinn Li (China)

Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies at the University of Sharjah

I was not too hopeful about receiving a scholarship from Al Gurg Charity Foundation for

the Faculty of Sharia as the studies are in Arabic which is not my native language. I was

surprised when I was chosen for the student grant. I received tremendous support from Al

Gurg Charity Foundation to improve my level of Arabic and move forward. I would like to thank

the Foundation for giving me this opportunity. It will help me understand the teachings of the

Islam and greatly impact my life when I return to my country.

Jumana Majid Arabie (Palestine)

Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Sharjah

My academic brilliance during high school was much appreciated, but my future

studies would not have progressed, had I not received a scholarship from Al Gurg

Charity Foundation to study at the Faculty of Dentistry. This was an incentive for

me to continue to excel every year. I am serving as head of the department of the

Scientific Society of dental students at the University of Sharjah and also participated

in the organization of the first international conference for dentistry students at

the University of Sharjah and am currently assisting in the organization of the

second international conference. I was also nominated as a member of the Board

of Directors of Dental Students in the Gulf region. I am thankful to Al Gurg Charity

Foundation for their contribution in all my achievements.

Hossam Ali Bayoumi (Egypt)

Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sharjah

Graduate studies were only a dream for me because of the high cost of education. The Almighty

was merciful and my request for a scholarship was approved by the Al Gurg Foundation. I extend

my sincere thanks and gratitude to those who have founded this great organization that fulfilled

my dreams. I hope to God that I can become an individual who is beneficial to society.

Alia Ali Mohsin Hamid (Iran)

Master of Development, Faculty of Economics and Political Science, London

The access to business studies in London is a difficult path which requires academic excellence and economic

support. When my father mentioned this to HE Easa Saleh Al Gurg, we received full support and a scholarship

from Al Gurg Charity Foundation. Due to this, I was able to pursue a Master’s degree in Development from the

Faculty of Economics and Political Science in London.

Thikra Omar Said Musa al-Mahdi (Jordan)

Graphic Design, Ajman University of Science and

Technology

Words fall short when expressing my gratitude and appreciation for the

scholarship programme of Al Gurg Charity Foundation and to all those who have

worked hard to ensure the success of this ambitious initiative. The programme

extends a helping hand to support students who are hampered by their

circumstances and are unable to complete university education.
