School Bag Project
Al Gurg Charity Foundation has launched its new project “School Bags” to be distributed among the poor and needy stu-
dents. Al Gurg Charity has coordinated with Al Gurg Stationery to prepare 4000 school bags along with some stationery
items required by students. A number of these school bags have been distributed to registered cases at the ESAG Charity
Foundation. The Foundation has also donated these bags to charities such as Beit Al Khair, Dar Al Ber (Dubai & Um Al
Quwain), Dubai Charity, Fujairah Charity and Al-Nafa Foundation for Humanitarian Work & Charity.
Orphans Assistance inside & outside the UAE
Messenger of Allah (May Peace be upon Him) said, «I will be like this in Jannah with the person who takes care of an
orphan». Messenger of Allah (May Peace be upon Him) raised his forefinger and middle finger by way of illustration.
In collaboration with Dar Al Ber Society in Dubai and in coordination with the Department of Islamic Affairs and Chari-
table Activities in Dubai, Al Gurg Charity has launched a project to assist orphans outside the UAE through lists that have
been prepared by Dar Al Ber Society, which is also completing the necessary procedures for that the process. Al Gurg
Charity will sponsor orphans from different countries such as Egypt, Sudan and Palestine. The Charity also sponsors some
orphans from inside the UAE through applications submitted directly by the related families of these orphans to its head-
quarters in Dubai.
Meer project in collaboration with the “Union
Cooperative” in Dubai
Al Gurg charity has signed an agreement with “Union Co-
operative” in Dubai to distribute the “Al Afdhal” card to
poor families before the month of Ramadan to buy food
items from any of the outlet’s branches in Dubai. Al Gurg
Charity has distributed the cards to 1000 families in the
month of Ramadan 1435AH.
Iftar project in collaboration with «Metropoli-
tan Catering Services»
One of the most important seasonal projects that Al Gurg
Charity is keen on is the Iftar project in the holy month of
Ramadan where the Charity has an agreement with “Met-
ropolitan Catering Services” to prepare and provide more
than 30,000 Iftar meals to the faithful in the mosques run
by the Charity in Dubai through the month of Ramadan.
