Al Gurg Charity Foundation donation to Holy Quran Award

Easa Saleh Al Gurg Charity Foundation has contributed AED1.5 million to the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) for publishing reviewing and distributing Islamic encyclopaedia. The 23-volume 'Al Azeez Sharh Al Wajeez' reference book on Islamic jurisprudence is authored by the late prominent scholar Abdulkareem bin Mohammed Al Rafie.
 
The annual contribution followed a charity agreement inked by Ibrahim Bu Melha Head of DIHQA Organising Committee and Adviser to the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and HE Easa Saleh Al Gurg (KCVO, CBE); Chairman of ESAG and Founder of the Charity Foundation. 
The ceremony took place in the presence of Dr Raja Al Gurg Managing Director of ESAG and Chairperson of the Foundation as well as Mohammed Farooq Yusuf Executive Manager of the Foundation.
 
The Chairman said he was honoured to grant this contribution to the Dubai International Holy Quran Award which he described as one of the most influential institutions worldwide.  "The award spares no effort to develop religious awareness bolster Islamic culture and serve the Holy Quran and Prophetic Sunnah under the auspicious sponsorship of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid." 
"The foundation will print and distribute the book in a bid to help disseminate and give a boost to Islamic culture and develop awareness in members of society about this resourceful reference book on jurisprudence" he added. 
Bu Melha was appreciative of the generous gesture by the Charity Foundation which is "keen on preserving reviewing printing and distributing Islamic books to enrich and spread Islamic knowledge and religious awareness."
