Al Gurg Charity Foundation seasonal projects in the Year of Tolerance 2019

As part of Al Gurg Charity’s participation in the Year of Tolerance, it has implemented its annual seasonal projects to support poor and low-income families, as well as to support some organisations and charities in the country.
Ramadan Meer Project
Easa Saleh Al Gurg Charity Foundation in cooperation with Union Cooperative Society in Dubai and Lulu Hypermarket launched the Ramadan Meer Project, where prepaid e-cards were distributed to cases registered in Al Gurg Charity database to be disbursed in the form of food or other purchases as per the needs of each family. A number of Meer cards were donated to Dubai Women and Children Foundation. Al Gurg Charity has also donated an amount to the Committee for the Needy Families of Umm Al Quwain, affiliated to Dar Al Ber Society, to purchase foodstuff and distribute them to the poor and needy within the UAE.
Iftar Project
One of the most important charity projects that Al Gurg Charity keenly implements annually is Ramadan Iftar project. The Foundation has distributed 4000 meals daily at Al Gurg Mosques in various locations in Dubai to cover most of the Emirate of Dubai, such as Al Karama, Al Barsha 1, Muhaisnah, Al Warqa and Al Jafiliya.
Eid clothing project
On the occasion of Eid Al Fitr and in cooperation with Max Fashion, prepaid cards were distributed to the registered cases in the Foundation’s database to buy new clothes to bring joy to the hearts of children from poor and low-income families. In cooperation with the Dubai Police Penal and Correctional Institutions, a number of cards were donated to support inmates and their families.
Audhia Distribution Project
The Foundation launched the Audhia distribution project for the second year in a row, where it has signed an agreement with Global Foods Company for the import and supply of Audhia, which is then distributed to the beneficiaries at Gurg Charity headquarters. A total of 1,330 sacrifices were distributed to deserving families.
School Bag Project
Continuing its support for the educational sector, Al Gurg Charity implemented their annual school bag project for the new academic year 2019/2020 and distributed school bags containing essential school supplies that the student may need in different colors suitable for boys and girls and in cooperation with Al Gurg Stationery. In addition, a number of school bags were donated to some of the charities and welfare societies in the UAE such as The Committee of the needy families in Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah Welfare Association and Al Nafa Foundation in Ajman.
