Al Gurg Charity Sponsors Mass Wedding with AED 1 Million

Mrs. Maryam Al Gurg,  Vice-Chairperson, ESAG Charity Foundation signed an agreement with Dr. Fatima Mohamed Al Falasi – General Manager of Dubai Women’s Association to be the main sponsor of the mass wedding  ceremony that will be held on January 22, 2015 under the patronage of HH Sheikha Hend Bint Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum.              

The wedding will include 40 Emirati brides and grooms who cannot afford wedding expenses. It will be held across on two days starting with a reception for men on the main day followed by a dinner celebration for ladies on February 2.

During the press conference, which was held in the Dubai Women's Association head office, Mohammed Farouk – Executive Manager of Al Gurg Charity read a speech on behalf of Dr. Raja Easa Saleh Al Gurg - Chairperson of the Foundation. She has stated that the Chairman of the Foundation, HE Easa Saleh Al Gurg’s decision to be one of the main sponsors of the activities of the mass wedding was in order to provide support to the initiative of collective weddings. This would assist and encourage the next generation of young Emiratis to establish families characterized by true values and traditions.
