For the start of the new academic year 2023-2024, Al Gurg Charity launched one of its most important seasonal projects, the ‘School Bag Project,’ for distribution to school students from low-income families. 5,000 school bags were prepared, including the basic school stationery that a student needs, to be distributed to the registered cases from various Emirates within the Al Gurg Charity system. As part of the same project, Al Gurg Charity donated several bags to sister charitable organizations in the country to ensure their reach to the largest possible segment of needy cases in various regions and emirates of the country, including the Dar Al Ber Society in Umm Al Quwain, the Fujairah Charity Association and the Al Nafa Foundation in Ajman.
Al Gurg Charity also supported public school students in Dubai by participating in the school uniform initiative to purchase several uniforms for these students, as well as donating a number of school bags and prepaid cards to purchase shoes and other items from CenterPoint and Shoe Express stores.
