
Driven by its belief in the importance of social responsibility in preserving the human and knowledge heritage and making it available to the public, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Charity Foundation donated a unique set of rare collectibles worth nearly AED 1 million to the Treasures of the Library exhibition at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library.
The dedications included a volume entitled ‘The Kings of England’ by William Henry Worthington – 1824 edition, and ‘Isabella or the Pot of Basil’ from Boccaccio’s stories by John Keats – London 1910 edition, and also ‘The Complete Hunter’ by Isaac Walton and Charles Cotton – London 1927 edition. In addition to a copy of George Morland’s (died 1804 AD) book entitled ‘A Hunting Party’ drawn in 1789 AD.
