The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai honored Her Excellency Dr. Raja Al Gurg, Chairperson of the Easa Saleh Al Gurg Charity Foundation, in recognition of her family’s significant contributions in mosques building and maintenance. The honor comes as part of the IACAD’s initiative to recognize those who contribute to building the Houses of God in Dubai.
This tribute reflects the Al Gurg family’s long-standing legacy in serving the community, as the family has supported the construction of mosques across the emirate of Dubai for many years. Their efforts stem from a belief in the mosque’s central role as a spiritual, social, and cultural hub for the community. The Department emphasized that honoring donors acknowledges their role in making mosque-building a lasting charitable endowment, embodying the deeply rooted values of generosity and giving in Emirati society.
To date, the Al Gurg family has built five mosques across Dubai—in Al Karama, Al Barsha, Muhaisnah, Al Warqa, and Al Jafiliya—collectively accommodating more than 5,000 worshippers. A new mosque is currently under construction in Al Safa, affirming the continuation of this blessed charitable path.
