At the start of the new academic year 2024-2025, Al Gurg Charity implemented one of its most important seasonal initiatives, the “School Bag Project”, for school students from low-income families. 5,000 school bags were prepared, which had the basic school supplies, to be distributed to cases registered at Al Gurg Charity database from various emirates in the UAE. As part of the same project, Al Gurg Charity also donated a number of bags to a few charitable societies to ensure that assistance reaches a large number of needy cases. The charitable institutions included Dar Al Ber Society in Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah Charity Association and the Al Nafa Foundation.
Al Gurg Charity also supported students of public schools in Dubai by participating in the school uniform initiative to purchase a number of uniform sets for students of public schools, besides donating school bags, and prepaid cards to purchase shoes and other items from CenterPoint and Shoe Express stores.
